PXI Modules, Switches & Relays
PXI Switches and Relays give engineers the ability to route signals automatically inside a PXI test system. Instead of moving cables by hand, these modules act like electronic patch panels that can connect, disconnect, or redirect signals as part of an automated test sequence.
They come in several forms: general-purpose relay modules for simple on/off switching, relay driver modules for powering external relays, switch multiplexers (MUX) for routing many inputs to one output, and switch matrices for flexible many-to-many routing. Specs to consider include voltage and current ratings, relay type, and channel density.
Within a PXI system, these modules synchronize with measurement and generation hardware to streamline testing across many channels or devices. They make test setups faster, safer, and more repeatable, especially in production and functional test systems that require frequent reconfiguration.

PXI Module, Relay General Purpose
Provides simple, versatile switching for routing signals or power in automated test systems, supporting a broad range of load types and voltages.

PXI Module, Relay Driver
Controls and powers external relays or actuators from within a PXI system, enabling flexible signal or load switching outside the chassis.

PXI Module, Switch Matrix
Creates reconfigurable, multi-path signal routing between multiple inputs and outputs, ideal for complex test sequences without manual rewiring.

PXI Module, Switch MUX
Combines multiple signal channels into a single path for sequential measurement, streamlining test setups and reducing required measurement hardware.
