CompactRIO Modules
The NI CompactRIO Modules provide modular input/output and processing capabilities for CompactRIO (cRIO) systems, enabling precise measurement and deterministic control in industrial and embedded applications. Designed to work with NI CompactRIO controllers and chassis, these modules deliver reliable acquisition and generation of real-world signals. CompactRIO modules support a wide range of I/O types, including analog input and output, digital I/O, counter/timer functions, and specialty measurements such as temperature, strain, vibration, and motion. Their tight integration with real-time processors and FPGA technology allows for hardware-timed operation, low-latency response, and advanced control logic executed directly on the system. NI CompactRIO Modules are widely used in industrial automation, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation, machine monitoring, energy systems, aerospace and defense, and research environments. With a rugged design and modular architecture, they provide scalable and dependable I/O solutions for mission-critical embedded systems.
