Agenda:
6:00 p.m.: Complimentary pizza and networking

6:20 p.m.: LabVIEW Chart and Graph Display in a Browser Using LabSocket System, presented by John Bergmans, Bergmans Mechatronics LLC

The LabSocket system enables LabVIEW applications to be easily accessed in a web browser, without the need for browser plug-ins (http://labsocket.com). This presentation will provide:

  • An overview of the LabSocket system

  • Highlight the newly introduced support for Waveform Charts, Waveform Graphs and XY Graphs

6:35 p.m.: Solving Complex Applications easily with LabVIEW and NI-RIO, presented by
Mike Rabin, Cyth Systems

  • NI RIO Platform – cRIO & sbRIO, Circaflex

  • Examples of manufacturing automation and machine control

7:15 p.m.: Introduction to the DAQmx API, presented by Andy Hertzka, National Instruments

The DAQ Assistant can be a new LabVIEW programmer's best friend, but sooner or later you have to attempt moving away from ExpressVIs and using the driver-level API. This is no easy feat, but it's an important step when you're looking to implement advanced functionality, optimize your code, or be taken seriously by the cool kids at the user group meeting. We'll talk through some must-knows of the DAQmx API, including:

  • How do driver-level functions compare to DAQ Assistant performance?

  • Which functions are required knowledge, and which ones are extra credit?

  • What does the driver API allow you to do beyond the DAQ Assistant?

7:45 p.m.: Wrap up and raffle prize drawing
